Meet the Team

Jess is the glue that keeps us on track. She handles the scheduling, payroll, bookkeeping and assembly of almost all items that go out the door. Jess graduated from Slippery Rock University in 2004. Jess loves her two kids, Cameron and Allyson and the awesome boss her husband, Clint. She loves traveling, reading, and her two labrador dogs, Luna and Lucky..

Sarah is a CPA candidate in the process of acquiring her licensure with the state of Pennsylvania. Sarah earned a bachelor’s degree from Coastal Carolina University in 2005 and is in the process of acquiring a MBA from PennWest University. She has 20 years of accounting experience in public and private accounting as well as a 5 year stint in banking, she works with a wide variety of clients including individuals, businesses, estates and not-for-profit organizations. Sarah is QuickBooks Online Certified and can provide a wide-variety of QuickBooks support and training. When Sarah is not kicking accounting butt she is a single-mom to her 13 year-old daughter Alyssa and Buddha (beagle/bulldog mix.) Coop is expected to be a future member of PICPA and AICPA upon CPA completion.

Levi Barger, staff accountant at Mattern CPA LLC (’21), resides in Shippenville, PA. Levi attended his home-grown local University of Clarion getting his Bachelors degree in 2018 in accounting. Levi has helped in the preparation of individual, corporate and nonprofit tax returns. Levi is involved in almost all audits that occur at the office whether as a preparer or in charge. The attestation engagements he has been on ranges from agreed upon procedures, compilations, reviews, audits of nonprofits, governments, for profit and 403b engagements. Levi enjoys playing dungeons and dragons, pickup basketball, rooting on the Steelers, Pirates and concerts with his girlfriend. He is a member of PICPA and attends nationwide AICPA audit education seminars.

Kelli Campbell, staff accountant at Mattern CPA LLC (’24), lives in the Knox area. She graduated from PennWest University in 2023, with a BSBA in Accounting. Kelli has many years of experience in the public service industry and could be one of those kind voices that you hear when you call the office. Kelli has been helping in a wide range of areas including sales tax, payroll, bookkeeping, individual tax returns, nonprofit tax returns, AUP, and attestations. Kelli enjoys raising her family with her husband, gardening, homesteading, camping, hunting, creating artwork, and learning. She is looking forward to continuing to help individuals and small businesses with their tax and accounting needs.
